OnGuard Pro-Perm Insect Killer is the most efficient at killing crawling and flying insects including bedbugs and their eggs. It is used to control/kill ants, bedbugs, brown dog ticks, carpet beetles, clothes moths, cockroaches, crickets, earwigs, firebrats, fleas, house flies, red flour beetles, rice weevils, silverfish, sowbugs and spiders inside buildings and outdoors on the exterior surfaces of buildings. Also for use to control aphids and whiteflies on indoor ornamental plants. (TRIGGER SPRAYER NOT INCLUDED)
This product can also be used to treat clothing. It has an active ingredient Permethrin which can kill ticks or other insects on contact. It uses the same active ingredient in hair shampoos for head lice. When applied to clothing, Permethrin bonds to the fabric eliminating the risk of over-exposure to the skin.
To better protect soldiers from the risk and annoyance of biting insects, the British and US armies are treating all new uniforms with Permethrin.
Permethrin is effective over several months, in particular when used indoors. International studies report that Permethrin can be detected in house dust, in fine dust, and on indoor surfaces even years after the application. Its degradation rate under indoor conditions is approximately 10% after 3 months.
