This forming tool or bending template provides you with an easy way to get the exact distance between two resistor leads that you need to solder right.
It works for axial leaded resistors, diodes, chokes, capacitors and so on with body length of 4.5 to 13.5 mm, which includes for example resistors up to 5W.
We here at UNIVERSAL-SOLDER use a lot leaded resistors for prototyping or assembling DIY kits for our customers and have found that this tool to be extremely handy to produce a constant high assembling quality.
Just insert your resistor into the groove for the desired spacing and bend the leads over the edges.
