PUMP CLEANING

Pump Cleaning Instructions

Cleaning the pump is critical to the longevity of the cat fountain. Please clean your pump every 2-3 weeks following the instructions below.

Step 1: Remove the pump cover.

Step 2: Remove the Impeller cap by fingernail under the lip and then pull it off.

Step 3: Remove the Impeller.

Step 4: Clean the parts soap and warm water or with the cleaning kit. (Especially the surface of the black magnet and inside of the white part.)

NOTICE:

If your pump stops working it is almost certain that the turning of the impeller is stopped by debris trapped in the impeller well. In this case, simply use a toothpick or Q-tip to clean the inside.

If the pump still can’t work after cleaning, please try to poke the propeller back a few millimeters and it works again (Sometimes the white propeller piece that spins, seems to have wiggled itself too close to the wall, causing it to jam ).
