Ingredients
- 2 pounds flank steak
- 3 ounce potassium sorbate diluted in gallon of water
- 1 teaspoon seasoned salt
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon liquid smoke
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
How To Make
Beef Jerky with Potassium Sorbate
Ingredients on the right
- Thinly-slice the steak into 1/8-inch thick strips.
- Whisk together the remaining ingredients except POTASSIIUM SORBATE until combined in a small mixing bowl.
- Refrigerate for 12 hours in a sealed bag.
- Use a dehydrator and lay the strips in single layer then follow the instruction of your dehydrator. Afterward, the jerky should be firm and dried.
- Dissolve 3 oz of potassium sorbate in a gallon of water and spray your jerky after it has been dried and cooled. Be careful not to contaminate product again.
